After enduring nine consecutive losses, debutants Benue Queens finally secured their first-ever NWFL Premiership point with a 1-1 draw against Delta Queens in Lafia.
Destiny Itobor gave the visitors an early lead in the 12th minute, but Joy Ikyagh’s 61st-minute equalizer ensured the hosts ended their winless streak.
Edo Queens extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches, as goals from Mary Mamudu and Esther Inyang secured a 2-0 victory over Heartland Queens in Benin City.
Moses Aduku’s side now boasts eight wins and two draws this season.
Elsewhere, Bayelsa Queens continued their dominance with an emphatic 3-0 win over Ibom Angels in Yenagoa.
Goals from Kindness Ifeanyi, Delight Isaac, and Dooshima Tarnum handed Ogbonda Whyte’s side their eighth victory of the campaign, keeping them unbeaten with an identical record of eight wins and two draws.
Similarly, Rivers Angels maintained their unbeaten status, securing an eighth win in 10 matches with a 2-0 triumph over Naija Ratels in Port Harcourt.
Titilayo Aweda and Mary Moses were on target for the Jewels of Rivers, ensuring they remained among the frontrunners.
Nasarawa Amazons climbed the table with a 2-0 win over Abia Angels in Lafia, courtesy of second-half strikes from Janet Akekeromowei and Chisom Chima.
Remo Stars Ladies edged past Ekiti Queens 1-0 in Ibadan, with Olasubomi Ogundele’s second goal of the season sealing the three points for the Sky Blue Ladies.
Robo Queens secured a vital away win, defeating Adamawa Queens 3-1 in Numan, thanks to a brace from Opeyemi Ajakaye and a late strike from Oluwakemi Adegbuyi.
Meanwhile, Confluence Queens and Dannaz Ladies played out a goalless draw in Anyigba, bringing an end to Dannaz’s four-match losing streak.
