2024/2025 NPFL transfer: Katsina United FC Sadiq Abubakar set to join Zamalek FC of Egypt

The management of Katsina United has announced the departure of Sadiq Abubakar Usman (Daddy Matic), who the club stated is on his way to Zamalek FC in Egypt for a trial.


The club's Chairman, Kabir Dan'lami Rimi, who is also the sponsor of the player and one of the state's homegrown recruits, expressed his best wishes for the young player’s success at the Egyptian club.


"I wish him a successful journey on behalf of the management, players, technical staff, staff, and sports-loving people of the state, and I charge him with maintaining excellent behavior in order to achieve success," he said.


During his trial at Zamalek FC in Egypt, Sadiq Abubakar Usman, a.k.a. Daddy Matic, has the option of trialing with two other clubs in Egypt if he does not make it at Zamalek.


This is the first time a state-born player has been sponsored by the club for a trip abroad for a trial.
