Former Rivers United FC goalkeeper, Victor Sochima, has joined South Sudanese side Jamus SC for undisclosed fees.
Sochima, who was a free agent, completed the move after a successful medical with the South Sudan Premier League side.
The 25-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper signed a one-year deal with an option to review and extend the contract after twelve months.
Sochima won the Nigeria Premier Football League in 2002 with Rivers United but parted ways with the Port Harcourt side at the end of the 2003/2004 season after his contract expired.
He caught the attention of former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro with his performances in the NPFL, leading Peseiro to extend a Super Eagles call-up to him during one of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sochima previously played for Heartland FC, before moving to Jigawa FC, and then joined Rivers United, where he won the league and represented the club in both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
