2024/2025 NPFL Season: Finidi receives NPFL "Manager of the Month award"

Rivers United FC manager, Finidi George, received his plaque on Sunday for being named the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Manager of the Month for October 2024.


Finidi earned the award after leading Rivers United FC to three wins and two draws in five matches, during which his team scored six goals. He celebrated the achievement with his coaching staff.

Finidi George's impressive October record began with a 2-1 victory against Akwa United, extending the team’s unbeaten run to five matches.


The momentum continued as the Pride of Rivers secured a 0-0 away draw against Katsina United. This was followed by a commanding 2-0 home win against Shooting Stars and a hard-fought 1-0 away victory over Niger Tornadoes in Minna.


Rivers United FC concluded the month with a 1-1 draw against El-Kanemi Warriors at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.


The League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Manager of the Month for October was officially presented to Technical Manager Finidi George by Rangers International CEO/General Manager, Barr. Amobi Ezeaku, shortly before kickoff at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
