2024/2025 NPFL Rescheduled Match Day 3: Enyimba International FC pip Akwa United FC by lone goal

Yemi Olanrewaju, the Technical Adviser of Enyimba FC, said he was excited to secure the maximum points against Akwa United in a rescheduled match day three NPFL clash.


Enyimba's new signing, Austine Onyemaechi, scored the winner for his side against the Promise Keepers when he tapped home from Imo Obot’s corner kick in the 76th minute, giving his team a one-nil victory in Aba.


A delighted Olanrewaju said he knew it was going to be a difficult clash for his side, adding that the most important thing was to get the job done.


According to him, "We knew it wasn't going to be easy, but the most important thing was getting the job done."


The new kid on the block expressed joy at his debut and first goal for the People's Elephant, stating, "Enyimba is my dream club, and I am happy to be here and to score on my debut."
