Nine-time Nigeria league winners, Enyimba International FC, on Wednesday maintained their perfect home record with a 2-1 victory over the visiting Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi.
The 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) was the first home game played by the People's Elephant after their 3-1 victory over Heartland FC in the opening fixtures of the season.

The Yemi Olanrewaju-tutored team has been busy with continental assignments in the prestigious CAF Confederation Cup, where they qualified for the group stage after beating Etoile Filante via penalties on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Returning to the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, the People's Elephant asserted dominance by scoring two goals in quick succession.
The People's Elephant's Ufere Chinedu opened the scoring in the 13th minute, while Eze Ekwutoziam made no mistake in converting from the spot to double the lead in the 15th minute.
The visitors, Lobi Stars, however, got their consolation goal in the 37th minute of play, while the second half produced no goals.
