The management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has once again postponed the highly anticipated 2024/2025 NPFL Matchday 16 clash between Kwara United and Enyimba International FC.
In a statement issued by the NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davison Owumi, the game, which was previously rescheduled for 15th January 2025, will now take place on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
This latest adjustment adds to the buildup for what promises to be an intense encounter, as fans eagerly await the showdown between these two prominent NPFL teams.
The nine-time league winners, Peoples Elephant (Enyimba International FC), are currently participating in the group phase of the 2024/2025 CAF Confederation Cup, with a Matchday 5 fixture against Al Masry scheduled for Sunday.
Peoples Elephant is currently sitting 7th on the NPFL standings with 27 points from 17 matches, having two outstanding games.
The Stanley Eguma-led side returned to winning ways with a recent 2-1 victory over Nasarawa United FC in Aba. Their record now stands at six wins, nine draws, and two losses.
