2024/2025 NPFL mid season transfer: Sunshine Stars declare two players on AWOL

The management of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure has declared the duo of Seidu Salisu and David Obiazor wanted for leaving the club without official permission.


The two players have not resumed their duties days after they were supposed to have rejoined their teammates in training following the New Year’s break.


The rest of the team is currently in Ikenne, Ogun State, preparing for the second stanza of the 2024/25 NPFL season.


“Sunshine Stars warns clubs and agents not to deal with Salisu and Obiazor regarding transfers without the club’s approval.


"The club also informs the Nigeria Premier Football League that the players are still contracted to Sunshine Stars, and any attempt by football clubs to illegally secure their services elsewhere, without due process, will result in a lawsuit."
