Niger Tornadoes' recent acquisition, Ismaila Sarki, has shared his excitement about rejoining the "Ikon Allah Boys."
The forward, who has previously played for Bendel Insurance and Enyimba, expressed satisfaction with the team's blend of young talent and experienced players as they aim for a strong finish to the season.
Reflecting on his return, Sarki said, "I'm impressed and excited about rejoining Niger Tornadoes, where I once played. They have a good team with exciting players." He added that the transition has been seamless due to his familiarity with Minna, the fans, and the coaching staff, describing it as "a second home."
Sarki, who had a successful stint with Bendel Insurance, winning the Federation Cup and competing on the continental stage, admitted that his time at Enyimba was challenging due to limited game time.
Now back with Niger Tornadoes, he is determined to make a significant impact.
Ahead of their weekend clash against Rangers, Sarki, part of the traveling squad, is optimistic about their chances.
"If they (Rangers) can come to Minna and get 3 points, nothing stops us from avenging. To me, it's a 50/50 affair now. If you play well and have luck on your side, you can get points on the road," he concluded confidently.
Sarki’s return boosts the Minna-based team as they gear up for the crucial encounter.
Note: Ismaila Sarki was the top scorer for Bendel Insurance FC in the NPFL 2024 season before he joined Enyimba FC.
