The General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Dimeji Lawal, has praised the supporters and fans of the club for maintaining orderliness throughout the team's home matches during the first round of the season.
Reviewing the first round, which ended last Sunday, the former Super Eagles winger acknowledged the significant role the supporters and fans played in the team's impressive performance.
"On behalf of my chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, the management team, coaches, staff, and players, I want to express my gratitude to our dedicated supporters and fans for ensuring a hitch-free first round at home.
"We were able to achieve what we did in the first round because of their unwavering support and belief in us.
"Even when we faced challenges and were not performing well, they stood by us, which greatly contributed to our success so far. Kudos to them."
Kabongo, as the former Real Madrid star is fondly called, assured the club's backers of a more rewarding second round, emphasizing that steps are already being taken to enhance the team's quality.
"We know our team wasn’t perfect in the first round, but I want to assure everyone that we are working hard to address our shortcomings.
"We have a competent technical crew led by coach Gbenga Ogunbote, and we are confident they will resolve all the grey areas before the second round begins," stated the former Julius Berger and Shooting Stars player, who also appealed for continued support from the fans.
