2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 7: Rivers United stakes high hopes ahead of Shooting Stars' visit

Finidi George, the Technical Adviser of Rivers United FC, is upbeat about his team's chances against the visiting Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan in their 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) mid-week Match Day 7 encounter.


The soft-spoken gaffer promised to deploy all necessary strategies to ensure that the Pride of Rivers secures the maximum points against familiar foes from Oyo State.


"We will implement the correct tactics for their upcoming match against Shooting Stars.


"Our players require proper rest following their long trip to Katsina," he said.


He added that the coaching staff will ensure the players are ready for the encounter.


Rivers United will face Shooting Stars in a midweek fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Thursday.


“We’ll plan carefully to ensure the boys recover properly after the two-day journey,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.


“It’s not easy being on the road, but we’ll get them ready for Shooting Stars.”
