In the Match Day 7 encounter, the Flying Antelopes played second fiddle to the Sai Masu Gida side, who employed all their resources to secure the victory.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was the chief tormentor of the Flying Antelopes, being involved in all of Kano Pillars' goals.
Musa won a penalty in the 15th minute and then provided an assist in the 28th minute. He won another penalty in the 31st minute, after which he scored a solo goal in the 46th minute.

The Flying Antelopes, however, attempted a fightback by scoring three goals in response, with two goals from Isaac Saviour in the 46th and 59th minutes. In the dying moments of the match, Silas scored the last goal of the day in the 90th minute.
