2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 5: Rivers United midfielder Osimaga emphatic on victory over Akwa United

Ahead of the South-South derby against Akwa United FC, Rivers United midfielder Osimaga Duke has declared the titanic clash a must-win game for his team.


The Pride of Rivers is set to welcome the Promise Keepers in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 5 fixture at the iconic Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.


Duke Osimaga, Rivers United's dynamic midfielder, stated that he is ready to give his very best against his former club.


He also urged the club’s fans to come out in large numbers to support the team.


"It's a must-win game for us. If we beat them, we are going to top the league table. We just need to win the game. The fans should expect 100 percent from me because it's my former team, and I will not let them down. They should come and support us. 


"They have lost two games, and I know they will come out strong to get a point, but we must beat them. This is a double home game for us, and we need these points more than anything to sit at the top of the table."
