Enyimba Int'l's Uwana Asuquo was named in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) "Team of the Week" for his outstanding performance in Match Day 5 fixtures against Katsina United.
Uwana Asuquo contributed immensely to Enyimba's 3-0 victory over Katsina United, which was held at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, Abia State.
Asuquo, who has been an integral part of Yemi Olarenwaju's side, played a pivotal role in the team's victory.
Three first-half goals from Ekene Awazie, Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, and Nweke Kalu secured the three points for the People's Elephant.
However, Asuquo's contributions to the team's victory were not overlooked, as he was named alongside his teammate Clinton Jephta in the NPFL Team of the Week for their incredible performance.
He was substituted 10 minutes from time to bring in fresh legs to carry on with the game.
Uwana Asuquo already had two assists to his name in matches against Lobi Stars and Heartland FC, respectively, and has played four matches, missing the game against Rivers United.
Enyimba Int'l's victory over Katsina United put them second on the log with 12 points, and they will face 3SC in their next fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday for Match Day 6.
