2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 33: Remo Stars fire blank against Katsina United

Dikko Stadium in Katsina was quiet on Sunday as league title-chasing Remo Stars FC failed to score against Katsina United FC in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 33 fixtures.


The Sky Blue Stars were held to a goalless draw by the Changi Boys but still managed to extend their lead at the top of the NPFL table, thanks to a slip-up by second-place Rivers United FC, who were beaten 0-2 by Abia Warriors.


Rivers United FC now have 62 points from 33 matches, giving them a seven-point cushion with five games left to play.


While Remo Stars remain unbeaten, the next matches will be crucial as the 2024/2025 league nears its final games, with each NPFL team battling for survival.


Speaking after the match, Remo Stars FC coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, said that his team's time would surely come.


"We are waiting; this is a league match, and we have to be patient.


"We are not under any pressure because the team has its own game plan. The ambition is still there for us," he said.
