Obviously, the four-time league winners have sorely missed their charismatic playmaker, Ahmed Musa, who went to Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage for Ramadan. However, the Super Eagles forward has returned and is set to take part in the dead rubber 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 33 fixture against rock-bottom placed Lobi Stars FC.
It was reported that Musa has resumed training at Kano Pillars ahead of Sunday's clash against Lobi Stars.
Musa was away on a prayer trip in Saudi Arabia last month and missed a couple of Pillars’ league and Federation Cup games, especially the Round of 64 game in which Sai Masu Gida were beaten by Rangers International FC of Enugu.
The forward rejoined his teammates in training on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old Musa has scored six times for Kano Pillars this season.
Meanwhile, Shehu Abdullahi has been ruled out of the game after missing training on Wednesday.
Abdullahi was granted leave to attend to some personal issues.
The midfielder is expected to be available for the Sai Masu matchday 34 game against Enyimba.
Kano Pillars currently sit 9th in the Premier League table.
For Lobi Stars FC, now coached by Tony Bolus, a further loss in the league game will further seal their fate in the lower league.
Head to head: In the last six matches, Kano Pillars has one win, while five matches ended in a draw.
