The management of Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan has called for a response against Niger Tornadoes in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 30 after the team scandalously lost to Akwa United FC.
The recent slump of the Oluyole Warriors has seen them drop out of the title race, slipping to sixth place after a seven-game winless run.
The Chairman of the club, Dimeji Lawal, told the team and its crew members that they will no longer entertain any more slips.
Recall that the Oluyole Warriors have yet to record a single win in their last five matches, with three draws and two losses.
However, they have the chance to bounce back against a resilient Niger Tornadoes side, who have proven to be tough opponents away from home, picking up valuable points on their travels.
Shooting Stars will be desperate to return to winning ways and push back into the top three.
The Ikon Allah Boys, currently in 10th position on the NPFL log, will aim to spoil the party and climb higher on the table. Despite their struggles, Shooting Stars should have enough to get back on track.
Head to head
Since 2022, Shooting Stars and Niger Tornadoes have met in 4 competitions, with Shooting Stars winning 2 matches and no draws.
