2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 30: Motivation sustained as Enyimba hosts Bayelsa United in Aba

Having regained their composure in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the Stanley Eguma-coached nine-time league champions Enyimba International FC have now moved within three points of third-placed Rangers as they aim for a late push for continental qualification.


After enduring a difficult start, which left the team with no choice but to replace their former coach, Olanrewaju, with the former Rivers United coach, Eguma, things are starting to take shape.


Just last week, the People’s Elephant put up a spirited performance to earn a tough 2-2 draw against Ikorodu City FC, a team that has since maintained a strong hold on their home games.


Building on their impressive performance, Enyimba International FC is set to welcome Bayelsa United to Aba in a must-win 2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 30 game.


For Bayelsa United, playing away has been difficult, and they have struggled away from home, now facing an uphill battle against an in-form Enyimba side.


While football can be unpredictable, this looks like a straightforward win for the hosts.


To boost the team’s morale, Enyimba chairman Kanu Nwankwo has rewarded his players ahead of their Match Day 30 clash against Bayelsa United.


Kanu offered a cash gift of N1m as motivation ahead of the game.


Enyimba will lock horns with Bayelsa United in Aba.


Kanu urged the players to keep working hard to achieve their objective for the season.


“You guys have shown great character in our recent matches and deserve to be rewarded. This is to motivate you for even more victories,” Kanu told the players.


“I commend your fighting spirit in earning these positive results so far, and that’s why we must push for more until we reach our destination.”
