2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 30: Katsina United FC wallops El-Kanemi Warriors

Katsina United FC on Sunday decimated the visiting El Kanemi Warriors 3-0 in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 30, moving up the ladder to the 12th position.


In what appeared to be a one-sided game, the Changi Boys opened the scoring through Moses Achare in the 39th minute.


As the game ended 1-0 in favor of Katsina United FC in the first half, they regrouped in the second half to further decimate the visiting Desert Warriors, courtesy of two goals by Lukman Bello via the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, and Taofeek Ahmed’s 76th-minute strike, which secured the win for the home team.


Following the comfortable win, Katsina United head coach Azeez Audu commended his players for following instructions.


Audu believes that if the team continues with the same performance, they will be unbeatable in the league.


“I don’t have enough words to thank my boys. They played according to instructions, and they gave me what I wanted,” Audu told Nigerian Players Gallery.


“I am very happy with the result. If we continue like this, I don’t think any team can stop us.


“My sincere appreciation goes to our fans who stood in the hot sun and supported us. Despite fasting, they cheered and applauded us. Seriously, they are the best fans in the country.


“I want to urge my boys to continue doing their best.


“Thanks to my family, friends, and fans for their well wishes and prayers. We will not rest as we prepare for our next match against Ikorodu City.”
