2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 28: Injury knocks Tornadoes FC midfielder out of Rivers United match

Niger Tornadoes are expected to miss the services of one of their influential midfielders, Victor Okoro, for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 28 clash against Rivers United FC.


The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a narrow home loss to Enyimba FC at the Lafia City Stadium, courtesy of Joseph Atule’s 62nd-minute effort.


Ikon Allah Boys will face the second-placed Pride of Rivers at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.


The absence of Niger Tornadoes' defensive midfielder, Victor Okoro, will surely be a blow for Mohammed Majin, who is looking to improve the team's performance.


The Enugu-born midfielder, who suffered a knock in their 1-0 home defeat to Enyimba FC last weekend, will not be part of the squad traveling to Port Harcourt for the game on Sunday.


Victor, who scored his first league goal of the season in the 2-0 away victory over Lobi Stars two weeks ago, is expected to return for next weekend’s clash against Nasarawa United.


The hard-tackling midfielder has only missed three of Niger Tornadoes' 27 league games this season and will be a big loss for the team as they take on second-placed Rivers United.
