2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 28: Depleted Kano Pillars set up clash against Kwara United

A depleted two-time league champions, Kano Pillars, will be without two key players for their upcoming 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 28 fixture against Kwara United on Sunday.


The Sai Masu Gida travel to face the Afonja Warriors at the Ilorin Township Stadium in a crucial encounter.


Emmanuel Bright and Zukilfilu Mohammed have been ruled out of the match due to injuries. Bright is sidelined with an ankle injury, while midfielder Zukilfilu is nursing a hamstring issue.


The timeline for their return remains uncertain.


Kwara United FC coach, Tunde Sani, on the other hand, expressed confidence in facing Kano Pillars, adding that the team had faced tougher opponents.


"Facing Kano Pillars is not a big deal; we have tougher teams. I think we have a good chance against them if the techniques are right.


"Kano Pillars is coming to Ilorin, so we are banking on the support of the fans," he said.
