2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 27: Akwa United FC lays siege against Katsina United FC

Kennedy Boboye will have a lot on his plate on Sunday as he welcomes Katsina United FC to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, where his side, Akwa United FC, will face them in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 27.


For the 19th-placed Promise Keepers, it will be a battle for survival, as the team needs a quick fix to its dwindling fortunes in the 2024/2025 NPFL season.


For a team that won the league just four seasons ago, its current state is unacceptable. However, many things have changed within the club since then.


On the other hand, Katsina United FC is not an ambitious club aiming for league honors, as they are typically a mid-table side.


For the 14th-placed Changi Boys, this is not a match in which they need to go all out to secure points.


Thus, this is not expected to be a high-intensity match, aside from the fact that the Promise Keepers are desperate to escape their relegation struggles.
