2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 26: Sunshine Stars FC gets ultimatum ahead of Kwara United visit

Ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 27 fixture against Kwara United FC, the management of Sunshine Stars has issued a three-match ultimatum to the club’s coaching crew following a poor run of form.


The ultimatum also extends to the Team Manager, Welfare Officer, and other backroom staff.


This decision was reached after an extensive assessment of the team’s performance since the beginning of the second stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).


Sunshine Stars have managed to secure only seven points out of a possible 21 in the second half of the 2025 NPFL season.


The management has made it clear that both the coaching crew and other backroom staff must improve their performance in the next three games or face sanctions.


However, the Owena Whales will welcome the 11th-placed Harmony Boys for Match Day 27, which will be played at Remo Stars FC Stadium, Ikenne.


The acting coach of the team, Abubakar Bala, assured in an interview that the team would turn a new leaf.
