2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 2: Shooting Stars return to Ibadan to stop Plateau United FC

Ahead of the Match Day 2 clash against Plateau United, Shooting Stars will be counting on home support to secure their first win of the season.


The Oluyole Warriors earned a valuable away draw against Nasarawa United last weekend and are aiming to defeat the Jos-based side on Sunday to complement a strong start to the season.


The chairman of Shooting Stars, Babatunde Akoro, said the team is expecting the fans to do even more than they did last season in terms of supporting the club.


"Let me first appreciate our ever-vociferous backers for their support last season, which went a long way in helping the team," Akoro said.


"They were simply fantastic, and it was no surprise to us when they were recognized as the best fans of the season. It was well deserved.


"We are on the march again this season, and we cannot help but plead for even more support than we had last season.


"We are counting on their presence and support whenever we play at home, starting this Sunday against Plateau United," he said.
