2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 2: Katsina United FC gets valuable maximum points against Bendel Insurance

Katsina United FC defeated Bendel Insurance 2-1 at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on the second matchday of the ongoing NPFL Season 2024/2025.


Bendel Insurance took an early lead in the first half after Lukman Bello missed a one-on-one opportunity with the Insurance goalkeeper.

 


A few minutes later, Bello equalized for Katsina United with a header from a long throw by Nasiru Sani, making the score 1-1.


The game continued with both teams making attempts to score the second goal, but it proved challenging, and the first half ended with the score tied.


In the second half, Bendel Insurance adopted defensive tactics, while Katsina United players made several attempts to break the deadlock.


Katsina United continued to put pressure on the opponent’s half throughout the second half, but they found it difficult as the Insurance players defended effectively.


After six minutes of extra time, Katsina United FC scored the winning goal through Azeez Falolu, who struck a long-range shot one minute before the final whistle.


Coach Bishir Sadauki of Katsina United expressed happiness with his players' performance and the support of the club’s fans in his post-match interview.


Bishir Sadauki stated that as the season progresses, he will make any necessary adjustments to improve the team’s performance.


Katsina United’s next encounter will be against Heartland FC of Owerri in the upcoming weekend.
