2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 19: Oluyole Warriors in Steady Rise on League Table

Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan on Sunday continued its steady rise in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and now occupies third position after a well-deserved 1-0 win over the struggling Kwara United FC.

 

The match, played at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, saw the Oluyole Warriors dominate possession throughout the game as they desperately searched for the much-needed win.

 

The fans at the Lekan Salami Stadium erupted in celebration during the fifth minute of added time in the first half (50th minute), when Adam Mustapha slotted home the only goal of the match.

 

The game saw two Oluyole Warriors players sustain injuries in the first half. The first early substitution occurred in the 34th minute, as the injured Anthony Okachi was replaced by Mustapha Adams Agba.

 

Agba justified his substitution by making a decisive impact, scoring the lone goal of the 2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 19.

 

The Oluyole Warriors now sit in third place on the NPFL table with 33 points from 19 matches, having recorded 10 wins, three draws, and six losses.
