Bendel Insurance FC of Benin, on Sunday evening, forced a tough Heartland FC of Owerri to a 1-1 draw as they continue their push for safety in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Substitute Austin Ogunye's 82nd-minute strike helped the Benin Arsenals share the spoils with Heartland FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Promise Anyanwu had put the host team ahead in the sixth minute with a header.
The Benin Arsenals are gradually gaining stability and covering lost ground, as they have not recorded any losses in their last three matches, with one home win and two away draws.
Insurance also came from behind to force a 1-1 draw at Akwa Utd, with Stanley Okorom's 30th-minute goal earning them the valuable away point and moving them a step further from the relegation zone.
Recall that Bendel Insurance FC, on Matchday 15 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, defeated Plateau United 2-1.
The Benin Arsenals will host Lobi Stars in the next fixture at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin. The match is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 21.
The Head Coach of Bendel Insurance, Greg Ikhenoba, said that the away point was important.
