The Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Gbenga Ogunbote, said it would have been suicidal if his team had failed to pick up a point from the three southwest derbies.
In his post-match interview after the 1-0 win over Sunshine Stars in Ikenne, Ogunbote described the victory as a big relief for the team, as it was their first victory on the road.

"This victory is a big relief, having toiled for so many games," he said.
"This is the third derby we have played. It would have been suicidal if we hadn't taken a point from the three derbies."
"I'm really happy that finally, it happened. We worked for it, and deservedly, we were able to get it," said the oracle, who praised his boys for fighting hard to get the desired result.
"The players gave it their all; they fought to keep the goal and to ensure the victory was achieved. So it was a good one for us."
When asked about the next game against Kano Pillars, he responded:
"That's another game. This game has come and gone; it won't come again until the second round, so we shift focus to the next game."
"All we need to do next is our best and make sure we pick up the maximum points at home."
"Maximum points at home will keep us a little bit comfortable," stated the Shooting Stars' gaffer.
