2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 15: Shooting Stars pip Abia Warriors

Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan on Sunday defeated Abia Warriors of Umuahia 2-0 to get back on the winning track in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 15.


The tightly contested match, played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, saw the Ochendo Boys defend resolutely to frustrate the visitors, who were eager to get on the scoreboard.

Anthony Okachi opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 38th minute after a foul in the box.


The Oluyole Warriors doubled their lead through Akpan Joshua in the 44th minute.


Shooting Stars SC are now in 6th place on the NPFL log with 21 points, having secured six wins, three draws, and three losses.
