2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 15: Lobi Stars secure first win in three matches over Kwara United FC

After a hard-fought 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 15, head coach of Lobi Stars, Mika Lonnstrom, dedicated his side's slim win to the club's fans.


Lobi Stars defeated Kwara United 1-0 at the Lafia City Stadium in a Match Day 15 encounter, climbing out of the relegation zone.

Their breakthrough came in the 26th minute when Peter Onah seized a well-crafted pass from Ifeanyi Assurance, firing past Kwara United’s goalkeeper, Nurudeen, to secure a well-deserved lead for Lobi Stars.


Despite the persistent attacking efforts of Onah, Assurance, and Waheed Adebayo, the Makurdi-based side remained firmly in control by the end of the first half.


In a post-match interview with the press, Coach Lonnstrom commended the team's spirit and dedicated the win to the fans, reiterating the club's commitment to upholding high standards of play.


Lobi Stars will be away next weekend to face neighboring team Nasarawa United in a derby clash on Match Day 16.
