2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 14: Imama Amapakabo guides Abia Warriors back to winning ways

Veteran Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) coach Imama Amapakabo on Wednesday guided Abia Warriors FC of Aba back to winning ways as the team defeated Katsina United FC 2-0.


The 2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 14 saw the Ochendo Boys put up a spirited display to dislodge the visiting Changi Boys at the Umuahia Township Stadium in Aba.


Abia Warriors FC took the lead in the 42nd minute, with Anthony Ijoma's strike, assisted by Samuel Atavti.

As the second half was about to end, in the 90th minute, Abia Warriors scored again, as Ojonugwa Adejoh found the back of the net to seal the victory.


The Ochendo Boys could have secured the second goal earlier, in the 63rd minute, but Sunday Megwo's header was saved for a corner, which was eventually cleared.


The win in Aba lifted Abia Warriors to 11th position on the NPFL table with 18 points, from five wins, three draws, and six defeats.
