2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 14: Bayelsa United FC puts four goals past sorry Niger Tornadoes

Bayelsa United FC put up an impressive display on Wednesday, securing a 4-1 victory over the struggling Niger Tornadoes, who have now gone three games without a win.


The 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 14, played at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, saw the Prosperity Boys start the match on a strong footing.

The home team opened the scoring in the 16th minute, with Emo James finding the net after a brilliant assist from Wisdom Mabgisa in midfield.


With high intensity, Bayelsa United doubled their lead in the 23rd minute. Wisdom Mabgisa made up for an earlier miss by finishing off a perfect pass from Emo James inside the 18-yard box.


In the second half, Sadiq Auwal scored in the 48th minute to put the game beyond Niger Tornadoes, making it 3-0.


The icing on the cake came in the 62nd minute, when Rabiu Abdullahi scored the fourth goal, receiving a brilliant assist from Sadiq Auwal.


Niger Tornadoes managed a consolation goal in the 81st minute.
