Kwara United suffered a 3-1 defeat to Insurance of Benin in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 13 clash at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium. Coach Tunde Sanni attributed the loss to a lapse in concentration by his players.
Insurance took an early lead in the 18th minute through Nazir Mohammed, but Emmanuel Ogbole quickly responded with an equalizer in the 24th minute after a brilliant solo effort.

Mohammed struck again in the 28th minute to secure his brace, giving the hosts a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Kwara United made tactical adjustments in the second half, including the introduction of Abayomi Lawal for Ebuka Anakwe in the 47th minute.
Further substitutions saw Wasiu Alalade replace Junior Aimufua in the 70th minute, and Chigozim Solomon come on for Afeez Nosir in the 80th minute.
However, their push for an equalizer left gaps in defense, allowing Augustine Oguye to seal the victory for Insurance with a goal in the 83rd minute.
Reflecting on the game, Coach Tunde Sanni said, "It was a bad day in the office. Despite our efforts and the fact that we played better in some phases, lapses in concentration cost us dearly. This team rarely concedes goals, let alone three. I can't attribute it to fatigue, but the outcome is disappointing."
The defeat drops Kwara United to 9th place on the NPFL table. They will look to bounce back in their next fixture against Heartland of Owerri on Matchday 14, scheduled for midweek at the Kwara State Stadium.
