2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 11: Will Shooting Stars be ready for undefeated El-Kanemi Warriors?

Shooting Stars of Ibadan will face a tough challenge on Sunday from the visiting, undefeated El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 11 fixture.


The anticipated clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium will see the Oluyole Warriors fully tested against the only unbeaten team in the league after ten consecutive matches, the Desert Warriors.

Before NPFL Match Day 10, only two clubs remained undefeated: Rivers United FC and El-Kanemi Warriors. However, the Pride of Rivers suffered their first defeat to Ikorodu United FC in Lagos, while El-Kanemi maintained their unbeaten record with a 1-0 win over the visiting Katsina United.


Currently in 4th place, El-Kanemi Warriors have recorded seven draws and three wins, potentially posing a tough challenge for Gbenga Ogunbote’s side to secure maximum points, though it’s not impossible.


For the 15th-placed Shooting Stars, the 2024/2025 NPFL season has been less than thrilling, with some home losses and draws. The Oluyole Warriors have the same number of wins as El-Kanemi but have three additional losses and four draws.
