2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 11: Majin hails players after resilient victory against Akwa United

Niger Tornadoes FC Head Coach, Majin Mohammed, has hailed his players after securing a slim victory over Akwa United FC.


The Ikon Allah Boys recorded back-to-back home victories, further erasing the memories of their poor start to the season at home.

Papa Daniel’s free-kick two minutes into the restart gave the Ikon Allah Boys the maximum points against struggling Akwa United in a Matchday 11 NPFL encounter.


Mohammed said, “It is not easy, knowing that Akwa United are at the bottom of the table. Teams in such positions are often difficult to beat because, while we are struggling to climb up, they are equally struggling to get out of the relegation zone.”


“Against El-Kanemi Warriors, as usual, we will go there and see how we can get a positive result,” Mohammed added.


The result moved Tornadoes up three places to fourth position on the NPFL table, while they now prepare to face El-Kanemi Warriors in their next league game.
