2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 10: Remo Stars reclaim top spot after Lobi Stars' win

Remo Stars have returned to the summit of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after a hard-fought win over Lobi Stars FC in the 2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 10 at Ikenne Stadium.


Nigerian midfielder Michael Ibe's goal was the deciding factor in the victory over the Alia Boys, catapulting the team to the top of the table.


The victory was special for Ibe, as it marked his first league goal of the season since joining Remo Stars from Katsina United at the end of the 2023-24 season, bringing with him an impressive track record of 10 league goals.


In his third start of the season, the former Akwa United player headed home from a free kick in the 47th minute to put the Sky Blue Stars in front.


Ibe has been an integral part of the team led by Daniel Ogunmodede, and his comments after the game reflect his excitement and dedication to the squad.


"This is a sweet victory for me. Scoring my first goal of the season for my team really means a lot.


"I believe this is just the start of a lot more to come," Ibe enthused.


Ibe has so far played six games this season, with one goal to his name.
