2024/2025 NNL Season: Wikki Tourists Chairman, Gotal, targets promotion ticket

Wikki Tourists FC Chairman, Engr. Auwal Gotal, has reaffirmed the club’s determination to secure promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.


Gotal highlighted the team’s progress in the first round of the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL).


He revealed that Wikki Tourists have played six matches, winning four, drawing one, and losing one, securing 13 points to lead the Northern Conference C table.


The chairman also addressed recent squad changes, stating that the club has signed new players to fill the gaps left by Damala, who moved to Katsina United, and two other players who are currently with the U-20 national team.


Regarding welfare, Gotal assured that player and staff well-being remain top priorities. He confirmed that all match bonuses have been settled, and salaries are being paid regularly.


On sponsorship, he disclosed that the club is in talks with two companies to secure a partnership that will see Wikki Tourists properly kitted. He expressed optimism that the deal would materialize soon.


He commended Governor Bala Muhammed for his unwavering support of the team, which has contributed to its strong position in the league.


He called on fans and stakeholders to continue supporting, praying for, and understanding the team as they push toward their goal of returning to the NPFL.
