Ahead of the 2024/25 Nigeria National League season, Gombe United FC has announced the acquisition of 31 new players from within and outside Nigeria, while retaining 8 players from last season.
This strategic recruitment drive includes three goalkeepers, five defenders, and six midfielders, all of whom have been carefully selected to strengthen the team.
The club stated: "As we pursue our ambitious goal of returning to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), we are confident that these new signings will bolster our squad."
The General Manager, Malam Anas Bamusa (Kwami), expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, Dan Majen Gombe, for his unwavering commitment to the club's success and his significant contributions toward this mission.
Bamusa also extended heartfelt appreciation to the fans and supporters of the Savannah Scorpions for their loyalty and encouragement. He called on them to come out in full force to cheer the team in their opening match against Sokoto United on Sunday, Dec. 15.
