Apparently inspired by his team’s last home match result, the captain of Ijele FC, Alex Izunna, has said that their visit to Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, this weekend against 1472 FC will be fruitful.
Speaking on Friday, Izunna stated that the team’s renewed hope is based on the management’s support, despite the string of losses they have experienced.
He also thanked his teammates for their resilience and hard work in achieving results, urging them to give their best in the game against 1472 FC, as a positive result will put them in a better position going into the second half of the season.
“We only have one plan, and that is to go and get the three points by God’s grace. To my teammates, I say, let’s keep working hard, stay smart, and keep believing. We can finish the league on a high note.”
“Well, the game is not going to be easy for either team, but with the way we have trained this week, I strongly believe we are going there to secure a victory and bring the three points back home.”
“I want to say a very big thank you to our supporters and fans for their patience and unwavering support. They are always there for us, and we promise to make them happy by delivering a good performance and returning home with a positive result,” he said.
