Warri Wolves on Sunday returned to winning ways with a resounding 2-1 victory over Edel FC in Awka.


The 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Match Day 6 saw the Pride of Warri deliver a sensational performance as they outclassed Edel FC 2-1 in the ongoing NNL competition.


Goals by Oroh Ezekiel in the 12th minute and Jude Ebohor in the 23rd minute were all the seasiders needed to secure the vital three points.


Warri Wolves had played to a pulsating goalless draw in their last game at home.


With this important victory, the Wolves are now gearing up for a push to gain promotion to the elite Premier League.


It will be recalled that after their disappointing home game, the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Onoriode Oborevwori, and the Director General, Mr. Festus Ohwojero, motivated the team with an inspiring talk about winning their remaining matches, as the battle for promotion intensifies.


The pep talk undoubtedly propelled the boys to victory this Sunday.
