Wikki Tourists FC showcased their dominance once again, securing a 2-0 win against visiting Barau FC Kano in Bauchi on Matchday 2 of the 2024/25 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.
The Bauchi Elephants took an early lead in the 18th minute when relentless pressure forced Barau FC into conceding an own goal.

The first half ended 1-0 in favor of the home side.
In the second half, Technical Adviser Abdu Maikaba made key substitutions that ramped up the intensity.
The breakthrough came in the 68th minute when John Taiwo was brought down in the box, and Match Day 1 "Man of the Match," Imamu Bala Magaji, confidently converted the penalty to double the lead, increasing his goal tally to two so far in the league.
John Taiwo’s exceptional performance earned him the "Man of the Match" award, while the victory sees Wikki Tourists atop the Northern Conference C table with 6 points and 4 goals in two matches.
Coach Maikaba, after the match, expressed his delight.
