Gaa-Akanbi Football Club of Ilorin has backed Boluwatife Ajina to continue his scoring spree after his goal secured ABS Ilorin FC's 1-0 victory over Gateway FC on Matchday 10 of the Nigeria National League.
The exciting encounter was played at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, Kwara State, on Saturday.
Ajina opened the scoring for the Saraki Boys in the 9th minute, ending his goal drought in the league.
The lethal striker has now scored in three consecutive games for his team across different competitions.
Notably, the Gaa-Akanbi FC product also scored against Kwara United in the final of the 2025 Kwara FA Federation Cup.
Boluwatife Ajina was awarded the MOTM (Man of the Match) award for his crucial goal against the Festus Allen-led side.
Head coach of Gaa-Akanbi FC, Abolarinwa Bashir, who watched the game from the stands, expressed his delight at seeing one of his players perform exceptionally well.
Coach Bashir emphasized that this achievement would motivate the club to discover more talents for bigger clubs to develop into stars.
"I'm delighted to see one of my players performing exceptionally well.
This will inspire us to discover more talents for bigger clubs to nurture," he stated.
