2024/2025 NNL: Dakkada FC declares player, Wisdom Tom, missing

Dakkada FC has declared one of its players, Wisdom Tom, missing after efforts to locate him proved unsuccessful.


"We wish to inform football clubs within and outside Nigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation, other football federations, football associations, the NPL, NNL, and NLO, licensed intermediaries, and other related stakeholders, security agencies, and indeed the general public that our footballer, Wisdom Tom, who was last seen on Monday, December 23, 2024, has been missing or otherwise gone AWOL since then.


"Wisdom is our bona fide footballer, and he is under contract, which remains valid until the end of the 2024/2025 season.


"He was duly registered and has played in the first three fixtures of the NNL 2024/2025 season for us, with the license number 'NNL/2024/25/023' and wearing jersey number 25.


"He has been fully paid all his remuneration to date, including salary in advance for January 2025.


"While we continue our search and rescue efforts, which include liaising with security agencies to launch a manhunt, we hereby warn members of the public against conducting any football-related business with the said footballer, as this would amount to double registration, with all its attendant consequences and penalties."
