Kano-based NNL side, Barau FC, has suspended former Super Eagles coach and club Technical Adviser, Salisu Yusuf, over the club's poor run in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The club stated that the suspension will take immediate effect in a bid to save the club from further decline.
"The suspension takes effect immediately, as our club chief coach, Rabiu Tata, has been asked to take on the role of Technical Adviser in an acting capacity for the time being."
Barau FC is currently sitting 6th (in the relegation zone) in the NNL25 Conference (Group C), with just 2 points from 4 matches. The two points were earned at home in their best performances so far this season.
The club will be actively looking for a new manager to save the team from relegation to the Nigeria Nationwide League One.
