In a bid to strengthen the goalkeeping department of one of Nigeria's leading youth football clubs, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe has appointed former Super Eagles goalkeeper Femi Thomas as their new goalkeepers' trainer.
Femi Thomas, a distinguished figure in Nigerian football, is renowned for his successful stints with Enyimba FC, Rivers United, Rangers International, Nasarawa United, Akwa United, Zamfara United, Ocean Boys, Heartland FC, and others.
His stellar performance earned him an invitation to the CHAN Eagles and later the Super Eagles of Nigeria, where he made significant contributions to the national team's successes.
The veteran goalkeeper also played a crucial role in Enyimba’s CAF Champions League campaigns, bringing his wealth of experience and impressive reflexes to the People’s Elephants' dominance on the continent.
The unveiling took place in the presence of the club’s General Manager, Mr. Ibrahim Sikiru (SK), Team Director Emmanuel Adeniyi, and a friend of the house, former Super Eagles midfielder Yusuf Ayila.
The General Manager, SK, while introducing Thomas to the fans, said: "Femi Thomas’ mission is to stabilize the shaky goalkeeping department of the team and restore its dominance with confidence, beginning with the final line of defense."
The supporters of the Integrity side erupted with joy at the announcement, hopeful that the former CAF Champions League shot-stopper will bring his expertise and leadership to guide Coach Farouk Yusuf’s team back to winning ways.
This exciting news has further fueled the anticipation among fans of Adeyinka Adeyemo's side, who are optimistic that Thomas will usher in a new era of success for Best Talent.
