Emmanuel Amuneke continues to experience the misery of league matches as his team, Heartland International FC, was narrowly defeated by Shooting Stars FC with a lone goal.
The match, played at Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, lived up to its hype as Amuneke, a former coach of Tanzania, desperately sought his first win for his young squad.
However, things failed to go Amuneke's way as Samuel Ayanrinde produced a superb strike in the 21st minute, settling the cold war between both sides, who are regarded as traditional powerhouses of the Nigerian league.
Efforts by the Naze Millionaires to find an equalizer were thwarted by the strong defense of the Oluyole Warriors, who maintained the status quo.
With this result, the Naze Millionaires remained winless in their last four games.
