Plateau United had earlier gotten the first chance when Saka Gafar broke clear, but his shot was saved by the Shooting Stars goalkeeper in the 7th minute of play.
The Gbenga Ogunbote-coached Oluyole Warriors then got their first attempt in the 13th minute, as a brilliant save from Plateau United goalkeeper Adeyinka spared the blushes of the away team.
The Peace Boys, quick on the counter with David Onovo making a dangerous run down the right wing, were thwarted by the Shooting Stars defenders.
Shooting Stars SC, however, got some relief when defender Uche Udeh leveled for his side in the 48th minute of play.
