2023/2024 NPFL: Rivers Utd signs Fatai Abdullahi Oluwadayo from Enyimba Int'l

Rivers United FC on Wednesday announced the signing of Fatai Abdullahi Oluwadayo who joins the Pride of Rivers as a free agent on a one year contract after playing a significant role in helping Enyimba International Football Club of Aba win the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.

Abdullahi’s exceptional displays for Enyimba earned him widespread acclaim. 

There were a lot of offers for Fatai Abdullahi Oluwadayo, including an extension offer by Enyimba and he wanted a stay, but the extension proposal was not suitable for him.

Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt, the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions in the 2021/2022 have been very active in the transfer market thereby sealing the deal among some other deals.

The club recently appointed Former Super Eagles of Nigeria Captain Joseph Yobo their new chairman.

The signing of Fatai Abdullahi Oluwadayo, one of the best midfielders in the Nigerian elite league means Rivers United are serious about the 2023/2024 NPFL campaign.
