2023 Women World Cup: Michelle Alozie apologies over penalty miss

Nigeria’s Super Falcons star, Michelle Alozie has reacted sadly over her penalty miss against England saying she has never blasted a penalty over the goal post before.
Alozie had been one of the shinning amazons in the Super Falcons in previous games, giving millions of football loving Nigerians all over the world something to cheer about in the tournament, until the penalty miss that brought tears to her eyes and anguish to the most populous black nation on planet earth.
The lottery of penalty kicks ended 4-2 in favour of the European champions, but Alozie said that she will not allow the penalty miss to hunt her career.
“I cannot allow the penalty miss to hunt me. I have to move forward. Obviously, I am disappointed in myself for not converting the chance I got in the game and my penalty miss,” Alozie told reporters at the mixed zone of Suncorp stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
“It was not just meant to be. God has a plan for my life. So, I just have to move on.
”This is my first World Cup experience and I am really proud of my group. This team is amazing. No more tears shedding.
“I have never blasted my penalty over the goal post. It happens in football.
``I just have to keep practicing, be a little more composed in those high intense moment and be better next time,” she said.
