The newly appointed board member of the Nigeria Nationwide League One, Barr Nelson Babatunde Akintade Bucknor has assured that the board of the NLO would consolidate on the achievement of this year’s maiden edition of the NLO Youth League to improve on the subsequent editions.
Barr Nelson who spoke at the climax of the final playoff of the Youth League on Sunday evening in Abuja said it doesn’t come to him as a surprise that the event was successful owing to the fact that competent hands were engaged to unfold seamless transition of events.
Barr Nelson applauded the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the league, Shola Ogunowo for his intellectual capacity and his expertise philosophy in seeing to the fact that the event was well managed and rancour free.
He promised that they will not disappoint Nigerians in their bid to improve the league and in churning out the best form of organization, even as he believes that the next edition will be better off than the one they just had across the country this year.
“Where good heads are gathered, you will always have a prosperous good ending. I'm not disappointed, neither am I really surprised because the NLO has been a body that has been well coordinated from its inception.
“Kudos to the COO in the person of Mr Shola, he has done wonderfully well in terms of organization and philosophy.
“We are not going to disappoint the nation in the next edition that might be coming up any time soon.
“This is just the NLO 2, if we can have this magnitude of turnout, of course the NLO 1 coming soon is going to be a time bomb.
“As you can see, there is something we have done that not even the NPFL is doing, that is ensuring we stream all our matches live, which will enable people to watch us from the comfort of their homes,” he said.
The Abuja center of the NLO Youth League promoted Paul EFC following their 1-0 win over FC Bwari, and will join ranks with 15 other teams from different regions to participate in NLO Division 1 next season.
